Unravel partners with Enersis

Unravel supports Enersis as a strategic nearshoring partner in the development of Gaia, a platform for energy management and municipal administration.

Enersis is a Swiss software company working with municipalities and energy providers. As the company grows, it needs more product and engineering capacity to support existing modules, improve the core platform, and prepare Gaia for future development.

This partnership helps Enersis extend its internal team with experienced Unravel specialists who work closely with the client’s design, product, and engineering organization.

Enersis: energy management and municipal software

Enersis provides software solutions for municipalities and energy providers. Its Gaia platform supports digital processes in the energy and public sector, where reliability, access control, data security, and scalability are important.

Gaia is a multi-tenant platform built with multiple microservices. As the platform grows, it needs strong technical foundations, including better monitoring, improved authorization, and a team structure that can support both existing and future modules.

The synergy of Unravel and Enersis

Unravel joined Enersis to help build a stable nearshore product and engineering team around Gaia. The goal is not only to add more development capacity but also to support the platform’s reliability, security, and long-term growth.

The cooperation started with monitoring. This stage has been completed and helped improve visibility into system behavior, incident detection, and service reliability.

The team is now working on improvements to authorization (IAM, FGA). This is important for handling more complex access scenarios in a multi-tenant platform, while keeping sensitive data secure and compliant.

Over time, the team is expected to take over selected existing modules and support the development of new business modules. This gives Enersis a stronger delivery setup and a nearshoring model that works as part of the wider product organization.

Building a long-term nearshore team

Unravel currently supports Enersis with engineering specialists across Frontend, Full Stack, Backend, and QA Automation. The team is also supported by a Lead Product Manager and a Scrum Master.

Part of the team is involved in a wider restructuring process. They are collecting new responsibilities and preparing to work more closely with other Enersis teams. This creates a foundation for a larger product and engineering setup around Gaia.

The partnership is designed to grow with Enersis’s needs. After the completed monitoring stage and ongoing IAM work, the next steps will include building the new team structure, taking over selected modules, and supporting future product development. This includes market and user research work planned for strategic modules.
