Complex Configuration Tool Prototype for Viessmann ViPlan

Viessmann, a global leader in heating and energy systems, was looking for a trusted partner to help prototype a digital tool. The goal was to create a visual WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get), that would streamline and elevate user experience of configuring heating networks. With a strong commitment to usability and innovation, they approached us to create a solution that would easily manage a vast number of technical datapoints complex technical processes and serve both internal teams and end-users with equal efficiency.

Solution

We created a prototype for Viplan, a tool that empowers users to design, configure, and manage heating installations from scratch or using editable templates. The prototype was designed to also enable users to select and configure multiple devices from the company’s extensive portfolio.

• Templates: Usera can start a project from scratch or select any from a set of ready-made templates that can be customized and reused.
• Documentation Generation: The system automatically generates detailed documentation based on the final project plan.
• Collaboration-Ready: Multiple users can collaborate on a single installation project, adding notes, attachments, and images if needed.
• Sales Integration: The prototype also included modules to support sales processes and network management, making it a multifunctional business tool.
